Ankylosaurus

Ankylosaurus apparently means ‘Fused Together Lizards’ because of their joined armoured plates.

So they were ‘armoured dinosaurs’.

Ankylosaurus was around 10 metres in length and weighed around 5 metric tonnes. It had a club at the end of its tail, so with it’s armoured plates and a swinging club tail it must have been very good at defending itself.

In my Deadlefizz Dinosaur books I have two of these, an older sister, Janey (who’s a bit of a bossy boots) and Little Timmy. Poor Little Timmy has to put up with a lot, but he is mostly a happy, enthusiastic little chap.

The books with them in are not available yet but they will be along. I think Deadlefizz Dinosaur’s Megadon Mystery is my favourite story with them in it… or maybe the one about Vulcan Volcano…hmmm…I can’t decide…or maybe the one in Jeopardy Jungle…
